Privacy policy

This policy explains what information ScentifyDeal collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Usage data: pages visited and links clicked, used to improve the site and to count clicks to stores.
- Account information: if you sign in, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and whether your email is verified from our sign-in provider. You can change your display name and photo on your profile.
- Things you save and set up: favourites, price alerts (the fragrance, size, stores and target price you choose), and your email preferences.
- Information you send us: for example a fragrance request, a review, or a message to us.
- Cookies: small files needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your theme or list/card view. We do not use them to sell your data.
How we use information
- To run and improve ScentifyDeal
- To show prices and keep them up to date
- To keep your account secure and let you sign in
- To save your favourites and check your price and restock alerts
- To send the emails described below
- To reply to you, or to tell you when a fragrance you requested is added
Sign-in
Sign-in is provided by Google Firebase Authentication. When you sign in with Google or an email link, Firebase processes your email address to confirm who you are. We keep our own account record and never see or store your Google password. See Google's privacy policy for how Firebase handles data.
Alert emails
When you create a price or restock alert (or turn on price drop alerts for your favourites), we email you when that alert is triggered. We send at most one alert email per fragrance per day. Alerts are also shown under 🔔 on the site.
You can stop alert emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any alert email. Your alerts will still appear on the site, and you can pause or delete them on your Alerts page.
Marketing emails (deals & news)
By creating an alert, you agree to also receive occasional emails from us with deals, price highlights and news about ScentifyDeal. We record when and how you agreed. If you previously unsubscribed from these emails, creating an alert does not subscribe you again.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or on your Profile under "More email options". Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop the alerts you asked for.
Our email provider
We send emails through a third-party email delivery service (such as Resend or Brevo). To deliver an email we share your email address and the content of that email with the provider. They process it only to send the email on our behalf and may keep delivery records (for example whether an email was delivered or bounced) under their own privacy policies.
Affiliate links
When you click a link to a store, that store may use its own cookies to track the visit so we can receive a commission. Their use of your data is covered by their own privacy policies.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers needed to run the site — our sign-in provider (Google Firebase), our email delivery provider and our hosting provider — or when required by law.
How long we keep information
We keep your account, favourites, alerts and email preferences while your account exists. Alert history and notifications may be kept to show you past alerts. When you delete your account we remove your account, sessions, favourites, alerts, notifications and email preferences.
Your choices
- Email preferences: stop alert emails with the unsubscribe link in any alert email; unsubscribe from deals & news on your Profile or from any email. Pause or delete alerts on your Alerts page.
- Delete your account: go to your Profile → Delete account.
- Access or correction: you can ask us to see, correct or delete information you sent us by contacting hello@scentifydeal.com.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
